Steubenville Police Not talking: A man was down in the 700 block of South Street, lying on the ground and “bleeding profusely from his forehead” but he refused to tell police what had happened or where he’d been, Thursday. Police said he “refused to answer questions” and when the Steubenville Fire Department’s ambulance arrived, he initially refused to go to the hospital, but they were able to make contact with his wife “and advised her of the circumstances.” He then agreed to go to the hospital, they said. Steubenville Police Backsliding: A Cunningham Lane resident reported a disturbance and wanted a female to be removed from his home, Wednesday. The homeowner said the woman had been in rehab in another state for three years but “was intoxicated and began to argue with him.” Police said he had a small scratch on his face but didn’t want to pursue charges, though he did want her to leave.
