Jefferson County Sheriff Questions: A couple who took their pregnant daughter to an Empire area residence to get her dog and her belongings reported her ex-boyfriend threatened them if they didn’t leave and “was on (the) front porch with his shotgun when they left,” Monday. Steubenville Police Theft alleged: A woman employed by Wal-Mart’s in-house delivery service ended up in police custody after she allegedly tried to leave the store with personal items she hadn’t paid for along with an order she’d picked for a client, Sunday. Police said Jennifer L. Phillips, 46, 1503 Ridge Ave., Steubenville, was charged with theft of nearly $100 in merchandise and banned from the store.
