WELLSBURG-- The Wellsburg Chamber of Commerce is holding its annual dinner event Saturday, with those in attendance hearing about prospective development opportunities in the region.
To be held at the Wellsburg Fire Hall, the event will begin at 5 p.m. with Bryce Custer as the guest speaker.
"I am honored to have the opportunity to speak to the Wellsburg Chamber of Commerce this Saturday," said Custer.
Custer is a source for commercial real estate services along the Ohio River corridor in Ohio, West Virginia and Pennsylvania and is recognized as an expert in the area of petrochemical, plastics energy services and derivative industries for site selection and consultation throughout the Appalachian Basin.
Ohio River Corridor, LLC, was established in 2016 by Custer as a plastics site selection and commercial real estate services company aligned now as NAI Ohio River Corridor. The business is a petrochemical, plastics and energy site selection and commercial real estate services company that specializes in site selection along the Ohio River from Monaca, Pa., home of the Shell ethylene cracker facility, downriver to Southpointe, Ohio, and Parkersburg, W.Va.
Their service region also includes eastern Ohio, southwestern Pennsylvania, and the Northern Panhandle of West Virginia.
Custer is actively involved with marketing the former ArcelorMittal surplus property in Weirton, now owned by the Buffalo-based Frontier Group of Companies; Mingo Junction property, including the 100 acres of barge and rail served property at the Mingo Junction site; and the former AEP Kammer facility south of Moundsville along the Ohio River.
"I look forward to speaking to the Chamber to discuss what the future may bring with Wellsburg and Brooke County being the center point of the Northern Panhandle activity," said Custer. "Brooke County has the location, river infrastructure and hard working individuals that will bring renewed success and prosperity to this area."
Custer is filling-in for Pat Ford, executive director of the Business Development Corp., who could not attend the event because of another commitment.
"He (Custer) is my first recommendation for a fill-in for me and would be a great choice in his own right," said Ford. "We work on a variety of projects, on both sides of the river, and he knows more about industry trends and positive news and development than anyone in the region."
In West Virginia, Custer works for JJ Guida Airport Realty, Jamie Guida, Broker.
In Ohio, Custer has the brokerage NAI Ohio River Corridor.
The dinner will also feature entertainment by Hermie & Harry's Dueling Pianos and awards for citizen and business of the year.
