The results are in for the City of Weirton’s primary election.
Unofficial results from 1,542 votes cast are:
Mayor: Harold “Bubba” Miller 1,226 votes; George Village 338 votes
Ward 1 Council: George Brandenburg 35 votes; Tim Connell 139 votes; Jonathan Curenton 113 votes.
Ward 2 Council: Ralph Cunningham 64 votes; Mike Adams 153 votes.
Ward 3 Council: Fred Marsh: 109 votes (unopposed)
Ward 4 Council: George Ash Sr.: 76 votes. (unopposed)
Ward 5 Council: Richard K. Ford, 31 votes; Jesse G. Lamone 136 votes; Flora M. Perrone 181 votes; Jonathan Reitter 101 votes; George J. Charnie Jr. 210 votes.
Ward 6 Council: Enzo Fracasso: 163 votes. (unopposed)
Ward 7 Council: Terry Weigel 137 votes; Shanon Schuetzner 90 votes.
The top two finishers in each race will move on to the June 11 general election.
Votes will be canvassed at 10 a.m., April 8 at the Weirton Municipal Building.
