Members of the 2019 class of Leadership Ohio Valley gathered Thursday for their business and economic development session. As part of their day, the group was provided a tour of the former mill property owned by the Frontier Group of Companies, learning more about efforts to remediate and redevelop the approximately 1,100 acres of land. They later met at the Weirton branch of Hancock County Savings Bank, hearing from local business owners about how they got started and their experiences in business. Taking part in Thursday's session were, in front from left, Tom Bowman, Stephanie O'Brien and Kaylee Richter, and in back, Joe Lombardi, Deidre Edwards, Anthony Bernardi, Missy Mikula and Kerri Freshwater. Leadership Ohio Valley is operated through the Weirton Area Chamber of Commerce, with support from the Follansbee Chamber and Wellsburg Chamber. — Craig Howell
