Area residents gather Thursday in front of the Weirton Municipal Building as part of local observances of the National Day of Prayer. Local clergy offered prayers, in words and song, for residents, the community, law enforcement, first responders. and the nation as part of the annual service which was organized by the Weirton Ministerial Association. Mayor Harold Miller presented a proclamation in honor of the observance. — Craig Howell
