WHEELING -- West Virginia Northern Community College will host an open house from 9:30 a.m. to noon, Saturday, on all three of its campuses.
Prospective students and their families will have the opportunity to learn about all of the programs WVNCC offers, as well as get information about the admissions process, financial aid and more. Anyone who attends the open house and fills out an application will be eligible to win a $250 gas card.
Each campus will also be giving away a $1,000 scholarship to WVNCC.
On the Wheeling campus, people will be able to take a self-guided tour of all the buildings. Guided tours will be available on the Weirton and New Martinsville campuses.
The event will include information on Northern's 70 education programs, student life and resources available to potential students. Many faculty members will be on-hand and offer interactive activities in their classrooms. Attendees can also gather information about starting at Northern and then transferring to a four-year college to continue their education. WVNCC has numerous articulation agreements with colleges to make transferring to a four-year college after Northern seamless. The event will also include free food and a chance to win prizes.
Anyone interested in attending the spring or fall semester may fill out an application during the open house.
