State Sen. Ryan Weld, R-Wellsburg, led a roundtable discussion Friday at Weirton Medical Center, focusing on mental health issues in the state. Medical officials, along with hospital administrators, spoke with Weld about some of the challenges they face in finding treatments for people with mental health concerns, including a shortage of psychiatric beds in the area and insurance authorization guidelines.
