Firefighters from the Oakland, Weirton and New Cumberland departments responded Wednesday morning to a fire that spread through a mobile home on Hudson Hill Road, causing its roof to collapse. Oakland Fire Chief Darrin Hamilton said the residents were able to evacuate, but their pet dog died. He said the fire originated from a pellet stove. — Warren Scott
