Fire crews responded early Friday afternoon to a structure fire at 224 Christy Way in Weirton. According to Acting Fire Chief Kevin Himmelrick, firefighters arrived to find flames coming from all sides of the structure. There were no injuries to any residents or firefighters. An investigation found the fire to be accidental, starting in the kitchen. In addition to Weirton firefighters and police officers, crews from Follansbee, Steubenville and Hooverson Heights responded to the scene, with crews from Hanover Township stationed at Gilson Avenue for support. — Craig Howell
