The annual American Red Cross Jefferson County Media Blood Donor Day will be held from 11:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Center of Hope, next to the Wintersville United Methodist Church, 702 Main St. Helping to promote the event are, from left, front, Phyllis Riccadonna of the Greater Alleghenies Blood Region; and Stephanie Grindley of WTRF-TV; back, Ross Gallabrese, executive editor of the Herald-Star and The Weirton Daily Times; Bill Phillips of WTOV-TV; and the Rev. While walk-ins will be accepted, donors are encouraged to make an appointment by contacting the Red Cross at (800) 733-2767 or online at RedCrossBlood.org and entering JeffMedia.
