The Rotary Club of Weirton Heights, this week, presented $400 to Weirton Fire Chief Kevin Himmelrick in support of the upcoming fire safety day, hosted by the International Association of Fire Fighters Local 948. As part of the event, to be held 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday at the Weirton Event Center, all Weirton residents showing proof of residency will receive two smoke detectors, one carbon monoxide detector and a fire extinguisher.
