Voters in Hancock and Brooke counties have selected two Republicans to fill two seats representing the 1st District in the state House of Delegates.
Incumbent Pat McGeehan of Chester and challenger Mark Zatezalo, a former state Delegate; emerged the winners of the race, according to unofficial results.
Zatezalo received 8,848 votes and McGeehan garnered 8,027 votes while Democratic challengers Jack Wood, an assistant Hancock County prosecutor, received 4,194 votes and Ronnie D. Jones, a former Weirton councilman and state Delegate, got 3,921 votes.
All totals are unofficial until ballots are canvassed at 9 a.m. Monday.
