By From staff reports 2 min read

WEIRTON -- The board of directors for CHANGE Inc., is looking for a new chief executive officer, after current CEO Judy Raveaux announced plans to retire from the non-profit community action agency in July.

Lisa Werner, board president, stated that under Raveaux's leadership, CHANGE Inc. has been able to identify ever-changing community needs and adopt diverse programming to meet those challenges.

Raveaux has been with CHANGE since early 1983, and has served as its CEO since 1990.

More information on the CEO position and CHANGE can be found on its website at www.changeinc.org. Those interested in the position are asked to send their resume to the attention of Human Resources, P.O. Box 2827, Weirton, WV 26062

CHANGE Inc. was formed in 1982 as a result of National Steel Corp.'s plans to close its Weirton Steel facilities.

In 2019, CHANGE provided services for more than 62,000 individuals in the Northern Panhandle of West Virginia, as well as surrounding counties in Ohio and Pennsylvania.

Overseen by a volunteer board of directors, the agency develops programs based on the needs of the communities it serves, including weatherization, nutrition, housing, housing rehabilitation and rental, financial counseling, transportation, veterans services, and operating domestic violence and child abuse centers, a 340B pharmacy and a federally qualified health care center.
