According to information provided by the office of Sen. Joe Manchin, local counties and municipalities are set to receive funding from the new COVID relief legislation, including:
• Brooke County: $4.25 million
• Hancock County: $5.59 million
• Beech Bottom: $200,000
• Bethany: $330,000
• Chester: $990,000
• Follansbee: $1.13 million
• New Cumberland: $420,000
• Weirton: $10.59 million
• Wellsburg: $1.05 million
• Windsor Heights: $160,000
This is a portion of the $677 million in direct funding set for West Virginia's local governments.
Funds can be used to cover expenses related to the COVID-19 pandemic, lost revenue related to the pandemic and necessary investments in water, sewer and broadband infrastructure.
