For several years, the Weirton Fire Department has sold T-shirts in observance of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, with proceeds going to Weirton Medical Center’s BreastCare Center. As a result of COVID restrictions in 2021, no shirt sale was held, but members of Weirton IAFF Local 948 were able to make a $1,000 contribution.
