Folklore Festival postponed until Oct. 15

NEW MANCHESTER - The gathering of urban legends and mysterious creatures will have to wait a little while longer as a result of anticipated weather this weekend.

According to a posting on its events page on Facebook, the Folklore Festival organized by Hancock County Parks and Recreation has been postponed until Oct. 15.

The event, part of the park board's open-air market events, had been set to take place Saturday at the Sports and Recreation Complex on Gas Valley Road, featuring various Halloween-themed attractions and contests, as well as presentations focusing on Bigfoot and other cryptids.
