The Weirton Police Department welcomed three new probationary officers to its ranks Friday morning, swearing in Martin Vega Jr., Dantrell Davis, and Tristan Painter. The new officers, who are set to begin duty Monday and report to the state Police Academy in June, bring the ranks of the department to 39 sworn officers, according to Chief Charlie Kush.
