The Top of West Virginia Arts Council welcomed guests to the Summit Art Gallery in Weirton Thursday evening for a reception kicking off the "Tri-State Artist Trio" exhibit. The showcase, which will be on display through June 30, features works by Dean Mossor of Steubenville, who is known for his work in oil paints; Mallory Hout of Weirton who works in pastels; and Bernard "Fritz" Hartman of Midland, Pa., whose pieces feature multiple artistic media. Thursday's reception also included a moment of silence in memory of Dale Biesecker, a member of the Arts Council who died May 3. – Craig Howell
