Eastern Gateway Community College held its first Alumni Dinner and Awards Night Wednesday in Founders Hall on the Steubenville campus. Among those on hand for the recognition were, from left, EGCC President Michael Geoghegan; Ed Florak, the school’s former president, who delivered the keynote address; Scott Campbell of Steubenville, who received the Alumni of the Year Award; and Dorothy Blaner of Toronto, Alexandra “Cookie” West of Steubenville and Johnny Walker of Washington, D.C., who received Outstanding Alumni Awards. Robert Thompson of Hubbard also received an Outstanding Alumni Award. “We are so proud of our graduates — they are making a tremendous impact in so many ways,” Geoghagen said.
