Boil order issued for Marland Heights area of Weirton

WEIRTON – A boil order has been issued for all of Marland Heights, according to the Weirton Area Water Board.

The order is the result of work performed on the pump line to the Marland Heights water tank this morning. It affects all of Marland Heights, as well as any other residents and businesses experiencing low or no water pressure nearby.

Boiled or bottled water should be used for drinking, making ice, brushing teeth, washing dishes, bathing, and food preparation until further notice. Boiling kills bacteria and other organisms in the water. Disinfection will be verified as soon as possible, and the boil water notice will be lifted through local media notification.

For more information, contact the Weirton Water Treatment Plant, at 304-797-8566.
