Area youths and their families were at Starvaggi Memorial Park, Saturday morning, for a "Touch-a-Truck" event hosted by the Rotary Club of Weirton. As part of the event, kids were able to get up close to various vehicles, including a police car, fire truck and recycling truck from the City of Weirton, a truck from the John D. Rockefeller IV Career Center, construction equipment and more, and learn more about their uses. Refreshments and other giveaways, provided by local organizations, were available, and those 10 and under were given free admission to Starvaggi Pool for the day. Sponsors included First Choice America Community Federal Credit Union, Steel and Wolfe Funeral Home, Serra Village Retirement Community, James White Construction, the Joseph Nieb Foundation, Dee Jay's BBQ Ribs and Grill, the Salvation Army and Tri-State Christian Academy. — Craig Howell
