Representatives of Weirton's Church Women United met at the Mary H. Weir Public Library Wednesday afternoon to receive a proclamation from the City of Weirton in recognition of their annual fundraising efforts for UNICEF. UNICEF, formally known as the United Nations Children's Fund, is an agency of the United Nations responsible for providing humanitarian and developmental aid to children worldwide.
