A few days before Halloween, a group of approximately 30 Weirton youth received a treat thanks to the work of their school crossing guard and a group of parents. When the pupils arrived at their bus stop by the Marland Heights fire station Friday afternoon, they were greeted by parents and other guests with a series of vehicles, trunks open, and full of candy and other goodies. Crossing guard Sheila Long, who organized the event along with several parents, noted they received support from Marland Market, which donated chips and beverages, and United Bank.
