Participants in the two-day event will have the opportunity to explore Pape's insights into homiletical theory and biblical hermeneutics through lectures, discussions, and question and answer sessions.
"We are truly honored to welcome Pape, professor of preaching at Brite Divinity School at Texas Christian University, as the keynote speaker for the 2024 Oreon E. Scott Lectures," said the Rev. Arthur Keys, Bethany College trustee and minister at the First Christian Church. "In the spirit of fostering theological dialogue and growth, Bethany College is privileged to host a top-caliber scholar and minister. We will expose you to some of the rich Disciples history in Washington, as well. Join us to contribute to the rich tapestry of intellectual and spiritual exploration that defines Bethany College's lectures and our cherished tradition."
