WEIRTON – The Weirton Area Water Board has issued a boil order for Colliers Way following a water line repair in the area this morning.
Crews repaired a line on Colliers Way between Smith Street and Lorraine Drive today, issuing a boil order for all water customers on Colliers Way, as well as any others in the area who have experienced low or no water pressure.
Boiled or bottled water should be used for drinking, making ice, brushing teeth, washing dishes, bathing, and food preparation until further notice.
After completion of the work, samples were collected for analysis. Results of the tests will become available no sooner than 18 hours after being collected. Once results have been verified as bacteria free another public notification will be issued lifting this boil water notice.
