WEIRTON -- The Hancock and Brooke Young Professionals has announced the launch of its 2024 Speaker Series titled "Forging Our Future."

"At HBYP, we believe in empowering our members with the tools they need to succeed both in the workplace and in the community," said Jacob Keeney, president of HBYP. "The 'Forging Our Future' Speaker Series is designed to equip our members with the knowledge and skills necessary to excel in their careers and make a positive impact in the Ohio Valley."

The series will feature eight lectures covering a range of topics, from public speaking and work-life balance to embracing the community and utilizing artificial intelligence.

Guest speakers, including industry experts and community leaders from both within and outside the region, will share their perspectives and expertise.

The first seminar will feature Travis Couture, founding solutions architect at Twelve Labs, who will discuss the use of artificial intelligence as a tool in both work and community settings. It will be held at 5:30 p.m., May 3 at Dee Jays BBQ Ribs and Grille.

"We're thrilled to bring together a diverse lineup of speakers who will offer unique perspectives on how to navigate the challenges and opportunities of today's rapidly evolving world," said Brandon Palmeri, vice president of HBYP. "By fostering collaboration and dialogue, we hope to empower our members to drive positive change in the Ohio Valley."

All eight events will be free for HBYP members to attend, with the public invited to join for a fee.

The series is made possible through a grant awarded by the Community Foundation for the Ohio Valley's Community Impact Fund.
