Steubenville man gets sentenced
WHEELING -- Joshua Anthony Doty, 37, of Steubenville, was sentenced in federal court Wednesday to 46 months for the unlawful possession of a firearm.
As part of an investigation by the West Virginia Division of Natural Resources on reports of hunting violations on private property in Brooke County, officers found a video of Doty and a juvenile shooting guns at standing water on property owned by a coal company in Windsor Heights. Doty previously was convicted on multiple felonies and domestic violence, and is prohibited from having firearms, but admitted to having the shotgun used in the incident.
Following his prison sentence, Doty will be required to report for three years of supervised release.
