Man charged with motorcycle theft

WELLSBURG -- A man has been charged with grand larceny for allegedly stealing a motorcycle from a Wellsburg residence on March 22.

City Police arrested David Michael Francis, 52, no fixed address, on the charge at a Beech Bottom home on Sunday afternoon.

City Police Chief Mike Allman said officers were able to recover the motorcycle at another location within an hour.

The case against Francis is pending in Brooke County Magistrate Court.
