Close to 230 area youth raced around Edwin J. Bowman Field Saturday morning as part of the annual Easter Egg Hunt organized by the Weirton Board of Parks and Recreation. The morning included refreshments, a chance for prizes and a visit from the Easter Bunny for all participants. Hancock County Savings Bank served as platinum sponsor, with First Choice America Community Federal Credit Union, Rick Stead for City of Weirton Ward 4 Council, Weirton Firefighters IAFF 948, and Weirton FOP Lodge 84 as gold sponsors, and AHEPA Chapter 103, Gus’s Goodies, Eat ‘n Park, Sheetz, Weirton Dairy Queen and Novelty Plus as silver sponsors.
