NEW CUMBERLAND – W.Va. Route 2 is closed in New Cumberland in the area of the dump bridge as a result of high water in the area, according to social media posts by Hancock County Emergency Management and the county sheriff’s office.
Passenger vehicles are asked to detour through the Rolling Acres area, with commercial vehicles using Ohio Route 7.
In addition, the Hancock County Courthouse will be closed today and Friday.
