Weirton Summer Concert Series to return for its 12th year

WEIRTON -- It will be a summer of music in Weirton, as the Top of West Virginia Convention and Visitors Bureau announces the return of its Weirton Summer Concert Series.

For the 12th year, the series will feature a variety of local, regional and touring musical acts taking the stage at the Weirton Event Center.

Gates will open at 6 p.m. for each concert, with performances beginning at 7 p.m., according to organizers.

This year's lineup includes:

• May 31: 40+ and 7 South, as well as a car cruise

• June 7: Poor Man's Heaven and Rumors, as well as a car cruise

• June 14: Billy Price

• June 21: Madame Jojo's Disco Tribute

• June 28: Oma Joy and Groovy Roots

• July 5: Wheeling Symphony Orchestra. Gates open at 6 p.m., with the concert at 8 p.m. and fireworks provided by the City of Weirton

• July 19: The Fantasy's

• July 26: Faire May and Blue Diggity

• Aug. 2: Gage Joseph Band

• Aug. 9: Pendulum (Creedence Clearwater Revival Tribute) and a car cruise
