CHARLESTON -- WorkForce West Virginia will hold its next statewide virtual job fair from 1 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. Wednesday.
Registration is required for both interested employers and job seekers.
"Whether you're looking for your next job, or interested in changing careers, we invite West Virginia job seekers to register now for Wednesday's Statewide Virtual Job Fair," said Scott Adkins, acting commissioner of WorkForce West Virginia. "Last month, we saw a record 1,124 job seekers register to connect with the nearly 115 registered West Virginia employers."
When attending the event, job seekers are encouraged to dress professionally and have a calm, clutter-free background. The Virtual Statewide Job Fair portal features a Job Seeker Training video, a list of participating employers, and channels for attendees to register and log in.
"This is the best recruiting tool that we have right now. I can never go to an in-person event and make more connections," said Ron Reimert Jr. of the Baltimore Life Insurance Co.
After registering for the first time, new employers will create a "Virtual Booth" to connect with job seekers. After completion, this booth will be available during subsequent job fairs.
