WEIRTON – The ramp leading from state Route 2 north to the Veterans Memorial Bridge will be closed, beginning today, for bridge maintenance, according to the West Virginia Division of Highways.
Motorists are advised to follow message boards, reduce their speed and follow the detour route, which has been established as going east on U.S. Route 22, taking the Harmon Creek exit and then back onto U.S. Route 22 westbound.
Inclement weather or unforeseen circumstances could change the project schedule.
