Kindergarten pupils at Weirton Elementary School are pictured gathered around one of the school's new Inchy book vending machines. Hancock County Schools purchased three of the book vending machines for the school to be used as a reading incentive, with students able to earn tokens through the school's Accelerator Reading program, Reader of the Month program and by meeting achievement and comprehension goals. To help sustain operations of the vending machines, as well as providing a selection of books, Weirton Elementary is asking for support from the community, either through donations of new books or financial contributions, which can be sent to the school office. — Contributed
