Getting some exercise and fresh air Saturday morning were participants in the Wellsburg Fourth of July 5K Run-Walk, which was postponed from July because timing equipment wasn't available to determine the winners in various age groups. Sponsored by the Brooke County Health Department and coordinated by Amberly Blair, the race raised funds for the weeklong Independence Day celebration organized by the volunteer Wellsburg 4th of July Committee and will return at its normal time next year, said chairman Cody Rice. — Warren Scott
