WEIRTON – The scheduled voluntary water conservation order in Weirton has been lifted, according to an announcement this morning by the Weirton Area Water Board.
The order had been planned to coincide with a water shut off as part of work involved in the expansion of the city’s water treatment plant. As a result of unforeseen circumstances, the work for today has been canceled.
The plant shutdown will be rescheduled for a later date.
