Intermittent bridge closures planned
WELLSBURG — The West Virginia Division of Highways has scheduled intermittent closures, of 10- to 15-minute intervals, of the Wellsburg Bridge for testing.
The closures will be held from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m., Dec. 8 to Dec. 13. Work is being done at night to minimize the impact on the traveling public, but motorists are advised to use an alternate route.
AG’s mobile office to hold local stops
CHARLESTON — A representative of the West Virginia Attorney General’s Office will be available to meet with area residents in December to discuss consumer-related issues and answer any potential questions.
Amy Nickerson, a consumer outreach and compliance specialist with the office, will host the events, to include the Brooke County Senior Center, 948 Main St., Follansbee, 11 a.m. to noon, Dec. 4; and the Hancock County Senior Center, 647 Gas Valley Road, New Cumberland, from noon to 1 p.m., Dec. 13.
