Two face drug possession and distribution charges
WEIRTON — Two individuals are facing drug possession and distribution charges following an investigation by the Hancock-Brooke-Weirton Drug Task Force.
Christian Louis McDonald, Sr., 35, and Autumn Rayne Stimpak, 27, face charges of possession with the intent to deliver heroin/fentanyl after task force members, assisted by officers with the Weirton Police Department, served a search warrant at 3433 Pennsylvania Ave., Apartment 3, in Weirton on Monday.
The search followed a three-month investigation of the distribution of fentanyl in the area, with officers seizing approximately 37 grams of suspected heroin and fentanyl from the apartment. Officers estimate the alleged drugs have a street value of $4,000.
As the apartment is located within 1,000 feet of Weirton Elementary School, officials note there will be enhancements added to any charges.
McDonald and Stimpak are each being held on a $150,000 surety/cash bond at West Virginia Northern Regional Jail.
No arraignment had been scheduled for either individual in Hancock County Magistrate Court as of Tuesday afternoon.
The investigation is ongoing, with officials expecting additional charges to be filed.
