Park to hold mini golf tournament

WELLSBURG — Brooke Hills Park will hold the Little Greens Classic, an all-ages tournament on its miniature golf course, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday.

The cost to participate is $5 per person for the event, which will include prizes for the winners.

County road work planned

STEUBENVILLE — This week’s schedule for the Jefferson County Highway Department includes;

• Drainage repairs: County Road 26 (Fernwood-Bloomingdale Road)

• Berm work: County Road 26 (Fernwood-Bloomingdale Road)

• Guardrail repair: County Roads 10 (Smithfield-Adena Road), 26 (Fernwood-Bloomingdale Road), Road 11 (Piney Fork Road) and 25 (Smithfield Station-Weems Road)

• Spot paving: County Roads 24 (Cow Path Road) 4 (Hopewell Hill-Rush Run Road) and 53 (Bergholz-New Somerset Road)

• -Bridge repair: County Road 11 (Piney Fork Road) and Knox Township Road 289

Coal Hill Road closure extended

STEUBENVILLE — The Coal Hill Road closing has been extended through June 27, the Jefferson County Engineer’s Department has announced.

The road has been closed between Walnut Avenue and county Road 28 (Goulds Road) for a slip repair. There is no through traffic allowed.
