WEIRTON — The Weirton Area Water Board has scheduled is spring citywide water flush, to begin Monday.

The schedule set to be used for the flush is:

Monday: downtown Weirton and the Weir Avenue area;

Tuesday: Kings Creek Bowl and Weircrest;

Wednesday: Marland Heights;

June 12: Weirton Heights, west of Penco Road, to include North 12th Street, Kings Creek Road, Kingsview Addition, Greentree Road, Willow Street, Theresa Drive, and Cove Valley Estates;

June 13: Weirton Heights, east of Penco Road, to include Culler Road, Country Club Estates, Woodlawn Estates, Angeline Estates, and Bellaire Addition.

Crews will begin at 8 a.m. each day and continue until the assigned area has been completed.

During the flush, areas may experience low water pressure, especially in the higher elevations of the city.

Customers in the general areas of the flushing are advised to refrain from doing laundry during their assigned days because of the potential for staining from iron.
