BINGO!

Area residents gathered at Marland Heights Park Wednesday afternoon to play Bingo, as part of this week’s observation of Disability Independence Day. The game was organized with the assistance of the Brooke-Hancock Family Resource Network and offered prizes of candy bars for winning games. Activities will continue today with a swim party, beginning at noon, at Starvaggi Memorial Pool. There also will be a poetry night, from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. Friday at the Mary H. Weir Public Library, and a celebration of Disability Independence Day from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday at the Weirton Event Center. — Craig Howell
