Water service to be interrupted

PINEY FORK — Water service to Piney Fork will be shut off on Monday from 1863 county Road 11 going northwest toward county Road 10, the Jefferson County Sewer and Water District has announced.

The following roads will be affected: County Road 11, Powerhouse Drive, Newell Drive (Township Road 134), Dean Street and Trio Lane.

This interruption in service will allow for a new water line to be installed along the bridge replacement site. Once service has been restored, there will be a 48-hour boil order for all affected customers.

South 11th Street to close for maintenance

WEIRTON — South 11th Street will be temporarily closed for road maintenance today.

The closure has been scheduled from 8 a.m. to noon.

Road affected by pole installation

FOLLANSBEE — Part of the southbound lane of Allegheny Street near Oak Street will be closed until about 5 p.m. today while crews install a utility pole.

Two-way traffic will be maintained by flaggers. Drivers should reduce speed and prepare for delays.
