Route 7 lane closure set

STEUBENVILLE — The southbound right lane of state Route 7 will be closed beginning at South Street from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. Thursday, according to the city’s public works department.

Traffic will be maintained in the left lane through the work zone. Motorists are advised to slow down, exercise caution, and be alert for traffic pattern changes.

No delays are anticipated.

School board meeting moved

WELLSBURG — The Brooke County Board of Education’s next meeting has been moved from Monday to 5 p.m. Tuesday at the board’s office at 1201 Pleasant Ave.

Planned power outage set

WELLSBURG — Officials with MonPower have announced electricity for about 227 customers in the Rabbit Hill Road area and adjacent lanes will be disrupted from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Tuesday while crews perform work in that area.

The outage was postponed from an earlier date and could be postponed again, pending weather conditions, to July 30.
