Michael T. Benson, the new president of West Virginia University, stopped by WVU Medicine Weirton Medical Center this week as part of his “Welcome Home” tour of the state. The visit provided Benson with an opportunity to learn more about the hospital, its mission in the community and ongoing initiatives during its first year as part of the WVU Health System.
