WEIRTON – The Weirton Area Water Board has issued a reminder of a planned shutdown of the Weirton water treatment plant, for 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. Wednesday.

Officials note customers should not experience diminished water service or pressure during this time, but ask residents and businesses to conserve water by any means possible.

The shutdown is part of a series planned as contractors work to connect portions of the new systems currently under construction at the plant.
