Boil order issued in area of Overbrook Drive in Weirton

WEIRTON – Following work on a water line today, the Weirton Area Water Board has issued a boil order for the area of Overbrook Drive.

The order also includes Garden Way, Spring Street, and any other customers nearby who experienced low or no water pressure.

If you live in the affected area listed above, bring all water to a boil, let it boil for one minute, and let it cool before using, or use bottled water. Boiled or bottled water should be used for drinking, making ice, brushing teeth, washing dishes, bathing, and food preparation until further notice. Boiling kills bacteria and other organisms in the water. Disinfection will be verified as soon as possible and the boil water notice will be lifted through local media notification.

For more information, contact the Weirton Water Treatment Plant at 304-797-8566.
