As part of local observances of National Save a Life Day Thursday, members of Hancock & Brooke Young Professionals teamed with Wheeling Comprehensive Treatment Center to distribute naloxone, as well as informational material to area residents. Among those taking part in the distribution in Weirton were, from left, Tammy Lough, Tiffany Gale, Kelly Coffin, Lauren Ostapowicz, Brienne Taylor, and Duncan Waitts. Naloxone, also known by brand names such as Narcan, is a medicine which, if administered in time, can help to reverse an opioid overdose. According to SOAR WV, this year marked the first time organizations in all 50 states participated in National Save a Life Day.
