West Liberty University Athletics partners with United Way of the Upper Ohio Valley for annual campaign kickoff
WEST LIBERTY — West Liberty University Athletics will partner with the United Way of the Upper Ohio Valley as part of United Way’s annual campaign kickoff, set to take place Saturday during the Hilltoppers’ home football game against Seton Hill University.
“We’re proud to partner with the United Way of the Upper Ohio Valley for this important cause,” said West Liberty University Athletic Director Brad Forshey. “Our student-athletes, fans and alumni know the value of community, and this is a chance to celebrate that while supporting programs that make a difference right here at home.”
Those attending Saturday’s game will notice several initiatives designed to highlight the United Way campaign and bring the community together:
• The Hilltoppers will charge onto the field by running through a United Way sign, symbolizing teamwork and community impact.
• Representatives from United Way will take part in the pregame coin toss to officially launch the campaign alongside the game.
• A special 50/50 drawing will be held during the game, with proceeds supporting United Way initiatives in the Upper Ohio Valley.
• Fans will have the chance to be selected for a field goal opportunity at halftime. Proceeds will support the United Way initiatives in the Upper Ohio Valley.
“We are thrilled to partner with West Liberty University for our 2025-26 campaign kickoff. This collaboration brings together the energy of the Hilltopper community and the mission of United Way to create real impact across the Upper Ohio Valley,” said Staci Stephen executive director United Way of the Upper Ohio Valley. “Together, we’re showing that when a community unites around giving, we can change lives and strengthen the place we all call home.”
