WEIRTON – A boil order has been issued for the 200 block of Sharon Drive, and all of Danby Court, following work on a water line in the area today, according to the Weirton Area Water Board.

The order also is in effect for any other residents or businesses in the designated area who experienced low or no water pressure.

If you live in the affected areas listed above bring all water to a boil, let it boil for one minute, and let it cool before using, or use bottled water. Boiled or bottled water should be used for drinking, making ice, brushing teeth, washing dishes, bathing, and food preparation until further notice. Boiling kills bacteria and other organisms in the water. Disinfection will be verified as soon as possible, and the boil water notice will be lifted through local media notification.
